I’ve written previously about how approaching networking as Connecting instead of Selling can make it easier and more effective. Especially for those of us who don’t think of ourselves as ‘salespeople.’

This article gives some tactical advice on how to initiate conversations at networking events. The author suggests that you have some pre-planned questions in mind for when you first meet someone & even offers 5 questions you can ask to get the ball rolling.
